Last week in Independent Study and Mentorship we had our official gallery walk in the cafeteria to showcase our boards and all of our work thus far within the ISM class to our peers. The board took loads of preparation and many hours, so I was more than excited to showcase all of the hard work I had put into it. While the gallery walk was slow at times due to many kids wanting to eat their lunch, it was fun to be able to talk to some of the kids and talk to them about the ISM experience. Overall, it was a fun event with my friends in ISM to showcase our work and it was a good chance to be proud of all the work we have accomplished.
Additionally, coming up in ISM quicker than we imagined is the showcase at UNT in less than 2 weeks which is way quicker than I imagined. While I feel as if I already have the majority of my stuff ready for the showcase such as my board and original work, there are still some tweaks I need to make in order to perfect my work and to send out invitations to ensure I will have some visitors. We are working now to get all of our stuff printed to be able to send out invitations, but I am also really looking forward to this event. At the same time, I have also been working hard to research for my final product along with my mentor. While it has been hard and a lot of work to research, I have enjoyed doing this research and I am very excited to create this project.
Finally, one thing I am very much looking forward to in ISM is Wednesday of this week because I will be attending a major trial with my mentor all day. She has told me a lot about this case and that it will be a doozy with a lot of witnesses and stories within it, so I am very excited to see all the drama and craziness of family law. I can’t wait to go and soak it all in to be able to come back and tell everyone about it!
