The original work deadline is approaching quickly and my certainty of my original work is decreasing. Over the weekend, I have come to the conclusion that I think I want to shift my focus of my original work to a different perspective. While I am still trying to figure out what that looks like right now, my original plan just doesn’t sit right with me right now. This is going to be a hard last minute shift, but I feel like it is necessary in order to create the best original work I can. My plan to accomplish this shift is to decide what I am doing in the next few days and get a plan with all my research this week so next week I am able to construct the original work itself and perfect it.
Another major aspect going on in ISM right now is mentor selection. I feel I have a confident plan on who I am going to reach out to for my mentorship, but I am still a little hesitant. I have two amazing people that I could reach out to for my mentorship which is a blessing of a problem to have, but trying to navigate what will be the most beneficial for me is what I am struggling with. However, I am confident either candidate will provide me with a strong understanding of family law and help my knowledge extremely grow over next semester. I will be reaching out to a professional this week and hope to have a mentor by next week!
